Companies from the Valencian Community have designed twenty high-added value driving projects that are eligible to attract European funds in the fields of energy, decarbonization, cybersecurity, batteries, mobility or 5G and that have the support of the Generalitat for the reindustrialization of the economy. This Wednesday, these twenty initiatives will be presented to the Ministry of Industry so that they can be included in the Government's Recovery Plan, after having been developed for a month in public-private collaboration, according to the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, during the signing of the protocol with the entities that lead these projects and which is part of the Recovery Plan. Together they add up to at least 5.5 billion in investment and could generate up to 60,000 quality jobs if they manage to achieve their objectives, and they respond to long-term sustainability objectives.
These projects that aspire to obtain European funds have been prepared by multinationals, entities and companies such as ANFEC (frit manufacturers), ASCER (ceramic employers), Balearia, BP Oil, Cemex, Clave, the Port Authority of Valencia, Grupo Dominguis, ITV Ice Makers, Jeanologia, LM Wind Power, Power Electronics, PLD Space, S2 Grupo, Simplicity Works, Stadler, VLC Photonica, Vodafone, Zeleros and Ford, Phone Number Data among others. Among the projects is relocating footwear manufacturing to Spain; the implementation of a battery gigafactory; an industrial laboratory based on Hyperloop technology; applied cybersecurity; the manufacture of small satellites; manufacturing of elements for wind energy in areas at risk of depopulation; the production of sustainable liquid fuels; and the industrial application of green H2.
The Generalitat has committed its support to these projects, designed to adapt the economy to digitalization and sustainability, transform the sectors and create a knock-on effect on suppliers and SMEs, and increase the prosperity of Valencians, Puig told representatives of these companies in an event attended by the Ministers of Economy, Rafael Climent, Innovation, Carolina Pascual, and Territorial Policy, Arcadi Spain. The president has defended that transforming "is not tearing down, it is not eclipsing the past" but rather it means producing different goods, developing sectors with more added value, more technology, productivity and knowledge. "Our model and our traditional sectors have a future ," he added to say that they have to adapt to the challenges and incorporate new ones to make the leap to competitiveness. He has cited the 3 Rs strategy: resist - where we are now -, recover and reinvent ourselves, and to do this we must commit to reindustrialization and achieve a greater weight of the industry than the current one (19% of GDP compared to 25% that the Community came to have). _________________ Phone Number Data |
